Track Name: Put Out the Fire
Woke up last night with my legs on fire
and my head was turning red
I used to drown it down before I'd retire
Put out the fire before I go to bed

Woke up this morning and I'm afraid of my own skin
Just waiting for it to peel
Lord I tried but I can't begin
To tell you how it feels

Spent the day sweat it out so slow
From every pore to the bone
In the highest places with my head so low
Makes me wish I was back home
I wish I was back home

Went to bed with a fist full of help
Lord I can finally rest
Though my body sleep is my brain still well
Cause Lord I tried my best

Woke up last night with my legs on fire
And my head was turning red
I used to drown it down before I'd retire
Put out the fire before I go to bed
Put out the fire before bed

Put out the fire before I go to bed
Put out the fire before I go to bed
Track Name: Excavation Song
Would you crawl around inside this song
I would let you put your hard hat on
cause my words might fall on your head
these walls might just cave right in

I just want to know
when is it that you feel most alone

I've been sleeping behind the flower pot
Waiting for my skin to peel right off
but I don't want to waste my time
Excavating the things that I won't find

I just want to know
When is it that you feel most alone

And I wish I was back home
But where is home

Home
Home
Home
Home

I just want to know
That this is when I feel the most alone
Track Name: In The Garden
Can we go to a garden
with the tallest trees you've ever seen
We could live inside a garden
Where the biggest flowers house the bees

And no one would see us
and no one would know what your
fingertips look like
when they light up the branches above us
like lanterns

I'll wear yellow leaves in my hair
If you'll just stay with me there
In the garden

Can we go to a garden
where the walls are taller even than the sky
We could climb up oh forver
Way up into the tangled vines
And no one could see us
And no one would know
what your green eyes would look like
When ten thousand flocks of birds
are flying all around inside our minds

I'll wear yellow leaves in my hair
If you'll just stay with me there
In the garden

Susannah, what tree was it
oh Beatrice which flowers are poison
And cupid keep a lock on it,
oh Mary how does your garden grow?

I'll wear yellow leaves in my hair
If you'll just stay with me there
In the garden

In the garden
In the garden
Track Name: Untitled
something to calm me down
is all I need all the time
I dont know if it was your fault or mine
if I can go to sleep and still wake up its ok
but I still tend to wonder what happened to me that day

I still don't know what I'm supposed to do
when you start fucking me up like you do

Don't forget the sign on the wall says quite plain
the mess in your head and an umbrella for the rain
here's to hopin i'm not cut down in my prime
cause life's real funny and mrs. death laughs all the time

I look in the mirror hoping for some change
is it me or is my brain making shapes
have these pills changed who I am
or is the reading right on the scale where I stand

How do I smile and take it
you asked me when I feel alone
I only get hopped up when it's time to go
Ive been sleeping behind the flower pot and sneezing
Listening to you reach out for reason

water is the key to happiness thats true
my body's a motor engine, water cooled
it'll put out the fire if you can get it down
I drank too much and a little bit of me drowned
Track Name: Take An Umbrella
I'm sorry if she fucks you up
Well what can I do and
Look you forgot your umbrella again

It's been raining for days
And the sign on the wall
Still hasn't changed

I like you better when you're drunk
You liked me better when
I didn't really talk that much

I need a friend for when it rains
So that I can take my socks off
And hang them up to dry on your staircase

Oh you know I'd do the same for you
You know I'd do the same for you

But the sign on the wall
is still the same
And I want you to know
That I broke the flowerpot
Just like I broke this fever
That's been festering for days
And I put out the fire
Cause it got too hot for me to take
And the sign says don't forget
Oh the sign says don't forget
Your umbrella

Cause it's gonna rain
Yeah its still raining
here take my umbrealla
cause I don't even want it
and I'd rather get wet

I like you better when you're drunk
You liked me better when
I didn't really talk that much

I need a friend for when it rains
So that I an take my socks off
And hang them up to dry on your staircase

Oh you know I'd do the same for you
You know I'd do the same for you

And I'm sorry that she fucks you up
Well what can I do?
Look here just take my umbrella
Cause you're making it rain.
Track Name: In The Ridge
Woke up this morning
Sky was falling
Walls were cracking
Tumbling down
Was startled by the sound

Crack in the window
Hit my pillow
While red rain was
Pourin down
My brain spilled on the ground

I heard a moon man
Brushing his hand
On the glass and
Plaster cracked
Was flat on my back

Now I'm a pigeon
And I'm living
In the ridge
Between the walls
Hoping the plaster falls.
Track Name: Indian Summer Song
God bless the beautiful girls
Who spread confusion
God damn the way
You look at me on the subway
While I'm trying too hard
To overcome an indian summer

Because it's too late to take this on
And the birds sing their songs
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons sing songs
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons they coo
Through the plaster and the drywall
While they're waiting for the winter

I'm scared of car accidents
And getting older
I'm scared of the winter too
I'm scared of the cracks in the sidewalk
And I'm scared of standing next to you

Because it's too late to take this on
And the birds sing their songs
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons sing songs
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons they coo
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons they coo
Through the plaster and the dry wall
While they're waiting for the winter

I've got this jar full of
orange lady bugs
And I'll set them free on your half birthday
I'll send you a dove
When the rains come
Just to let you know
that I am safe
And I'll send you a pigeon
When my basement floods
Just to let you know
That I have gone away

Because it's too late
To say you like the shape m mouth takes
And it's too late
for us to fall in love
And the pigeons sing songs
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons they coo
Through the cracks in our walls
The pigeons they coo
Through the plaster and the dry wall
While they're waiting for the winter
And I'm waiting for the winter

And the pigeons they coo
While we're waiting for the winter
In an indian summer
Track Name: When Will We Become
Someday we'll live in a hollow tree
And grow our fur and our feathers
Someday you'll fall in love with me
And I'll start feeling better

When will we become Hank and Pigeon?
When will we become Hank and Pigeon

Our hair will turn white in spite of us
While we grow younger and younger
Ideas will blossom inside of us
And we'll lose track of eachother

When will we become Hank and Pigeon?
When will we become Hank and Pigeon

For now I'll live in the wall and sing
And you can sleep forever
Who knows what this winter will bring
Maybe we'll freeze together

When will we become Hank and Pigeon?
When will we become Hank and Pigeon

When will we become..
